چکیده

Purpose : clinical and genetic research of primary chronic angle-closure glaucoma (PACG) age-related macular degeneration (AMD) for prospective pathogenetically-oriented targeted treatment these condition. Materials methods . 15 patients with isolated ocular proliferative syndrome were divided into 2 groups depending on their diagnosis: 1) 7 (14 eyes) aged 55 to 83 confirmed wet AMD (4 women 3 men). 2) 8 (16 45 80 PACG (5 The followed up 1 years. Results In both conditions, we found mutations in the genes Russian population involved process proliferation: VEGF A, CFH, COL11A1. We developed an algorithm bioinformatic analysis full-exome/full-genome sequencing data which takes account aggregate helps refine prognosis course proliferation. Genetic markers remain unchanged throughout patient’s life, so it is important conduct studies old age. Conclusion To prevent AMD, develop individual pathogenetic therapy schemes diseases, specialized molecular tests are needed, results could be analyzed algorithm.

the genetics of age-related macular degeneration

age-related macular degeneration (amd) is the leading cause of blindness in old subjects. it is a multifactorial disease with both environmental and genetic factors playing some role in its pathogenesis. similar to many other genetic diseases, the inheritance pattern of amd does not fit into simple mendelian rules. these diseases are caused by the presence of multiple genetic factors and are ca...

Acute angle-closure glaucoma resulting from spontaneous hemorrhagic retinal detachment in age-related macular degeneration: case reports and literature review.

PURPOSE Acute angle-closure glaucoma resulting from massive subretinal hemorrhage is a rare and catastrophic complication in age-related macular degeneration. Anticoagulant usage had been strongly correlated with this complication in previously reported cases. METHODS Four patients (4 eyes), 3 men and 1 woman, developed angle-closure glaucoma with diffuse subretinal hemorrhage and total hemor...

[Genetic studies of age related macular degeneration].

While during the 1980s epidemiological studies searched for possible associations of environmental factors, factors of lifestyle, and cardiovascular diseases with age-related macular degeneration (ARMD), this is now perceived as a multifactorial disorder with predisposing genetic constellations and with environmental factors contributing to disease progression. The evidence which supports a gen...

Assessment of polygenic effects links primary open-angle glaucoma and age-related macular degeneration

Primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) and age-related macular degeneration (AMD) are leading causes of irreversible blindness. Several loci have been mapped using genome-wide association studies. Until very recently, there was no recognized overlap in the genetic contribution to AMD and POAG. At genome-wide significance level, only ABCA1 harbors associations to both diseases. Here, we investigated...

Genetic susceptibility to age related macular degeneration.

Age related macular degeneration (AMD) is the leading cause of visual impairment in the elderly and a major cause of blindness in the developed world. The disease can take two forms, geographic atrophy and choroidal neovascularisation. The pathogenesis of AMD is poorly understood. There are undoubtedly environmental and other risk factors involved and the adverse effect of smoking is well estab...
